Singapore cost calculator

How much does a trip to Singapore really cost?

Hawker food is cheap, but Singapore hotels are among Asia’s priciest and add a 10% service charge plus 9% GST on top of the room rate. Drinks are heavily taxed, so a night out costs more than at home.

Ways to keep it down

  1. Eat most meals at hawker centres – prices are nett, with no service charge or GST added.
  2. Fill in the SG Arrival Card only on ICA’s site or the MyICA app; it’s free, and look-alike sites charge for it.
  3. Drink during happy hour or buy beer at a supermarket – a pint at a bar costs three to four times as much.

How we built this estimate

The sample is 2 travelers for 4 nights. Your plan ($3,750) covers the main costs most people budget for, the ones you enter on the left. Costs people forget ($1,181, about 31% more for this trip) are the fees, taxes, tips and extras listed in the calculator. Prices were last checked on October 17, 2026.

What moves the price most

  • Airfare per person$2,300 · 47%
  • Hotel per night$1,000 · 20%
  • Food per person$450 · 9%
  • Travel insurance$225 · 5%

Share of the $4,931 real cost. Nights and travelers multiply most of these costs, so changing either one moves the total the most.
