Rome cost calculator

How much does a trip to Rome really cost?

Rome's city tax of €6 to €7.50 per person, per night is paid at the hotel and is rarely in the price you booked. Colosseum and Vatican tickets, the new Trevi Fountain fee, restaurant cover charges and airport trains add more.

Ways to keep it down

  1. Book the Colosseum and Vatican Museums on the official sites to avoid reseller markups.
  2. See the Trevi Fountain early or late in the evening, when getting close is free.
  3. Drink your coffee standing at the bar, since table service costs more.
